There was a family gathering in 1996, a couple of bottles of good red wine, the first fire of early winter and a driving need to travel, while at the same time a yearning to creatively showcase the beauty of South Africa to people from all over the globe! To and from – many times that evening, but the seed was sown, and now after nearly 28 highly successful years, and even through the pandemic, Cape AgriTours is still the specialist tour operator in agriculture and science in South Africa. Through the years we have also gained a vast experience in business trips, meetings and events, leisure tourism and extended fun-filled family holidays. And because it is not all work and no play, our golf tours come highly recommended. 

The principle of Cape AgriTours is Eugene Booysen, a qualified Biochemist, who at the time had some 15 years’ experience in agriculture, marketing, and public relations. He is the story teller and designer, who writes the easy reading, well-research and well thought through travel plans and programmes. He is passionate about the country, its nature, the wildlife, the indigenous flowers and of course our birds! Nelie Booysen is the backbone of the company, responsible for all the finances, admin and running Cape AgriTours from day to day. 

Since inception in 1996, we were based in Stellenbosch – Heart of the Cape Winelands, but in July 2022, we relocated to Pearly Beach, a lovely coastal town, in the Overstrand region on the Western Cape’s South Coast. The lovely and relaxed atmosphere and rural surroundings of this town, is simply the greatest location from which to work. 

We have now also opened a satellite office in Paarl, from where all services can be sources as well.
